     Legislation to crack down on "unscrupulous" sports agents
cleared a FL Senate panel.  Under the bill, athlete agents would
be required to pass an examination before the state licenses them
to do business (MIAMI HERALD, 4/20).... 49ers Owner EDDIE
DEBARTOLO, JR. was involved in an auto accident last night.  He
was stable condition after being treated for a broken clavicle,
bruised sternum, and other contusions (SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE,
4/20).....MARTINA NAVRATILOVA, WTA Tour Players Association
President, is profiled in this morning's USA TODAY.  On not
having a title sponsor for the WTA Tour: "We have a good product
and it can only go up.  But our life would be OK without a major
sponsor.  We can get the money. ... I can't boost the game back.
The game has to boost itself back with the players and rivalries"

is featured in the May issue of CHICAGO magazine as "The Man Who
Would Be Michael."  Roenick says "I would love to be as big as
MICHAEL JORDAN."  CHICAGO writer Dean Spiros: "Roenick has a
goal, he wants to be a supercelebrity."  Hawks broadcaster PAT
FOLEY: "Most people who could be that big don't want to be that
big.  But it's something Jeremy wants and something he can
handle" (CHICAGO magazine, 5/95 issue).
