Joe Gibb's owned Interstate Batteries Chevrolet. In addition,
Wix will be an associate sponsor with the Slim Jim Busch Grand
National Chevrolet driven by David Green....Peebles Department
Stores will be an associate sponsor of the Hermie Sadler NASCAR
Busch Series Grand National car sponsored by DeWalt Industrial
tools....Head Athletic Footwear and Apparel has taken on the
major sponsorship of NHRA Top Fuel Drag Racer Lori
Johns....Former Sports Car Club of America Champion Steve Saleen
and actor/comedian Tim Allen have formed the Saleen/Allen RRR
Racing Team. This will be a three car team competing for the
SCCA World Challenge title. Saleen, Allen and Bob Bondurant will
all be drivers. The team will be unveiled on May 5-6 at the
Phoenix Int'l Raceway (ERNIE SAXTON'S MOTORSPORTS SPONSORSHIP
NEWS).
