Caesar's World named PETER BOYNTON, head of its Atlantic City casino, as its new President and COO. Boynton succeeds J. TERRENCE LANNI, who decided to leave amid ITT's takeover. HENRY GLUCK will remain as Caesars' Chair and CEO (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 2/15)....Trail Blazers Inc. and Oregon Arena Corp. have named LARRY HITCHCOCK to their management team as VP/Marketing (AGENT & MANAGER FACILITIES, 2/95).... PATTY PAYTAS has left as the Pirates' Dir of Community Relations to join Burson-Marsteller (PITTSBURGH BUSINESS TIMES, 2/19 issue)....Miami businessman AL DOTSON has been elected the first African-American to the Orange Bowl Committee. CRISTINA MENDOZA, who is expected to be appointed secretary, would be the first woman (MIAMI HERALD, 2/14)....The day after solidifying ownership of the Heat, MICKY ARISON fired coach KEVIN LOUGHERY and named DAVE WOHL Exec VP of Basketball Operations (MIAMI HERALD, 2/15).... PETER LOYELLO has been named Expos Dir of Media Relations. Loyello, 26, was the Dir of Baseball Relations for the AAA Ottawa Lynx (OTTAWA CITIZEN, 2/15).

Kerrigan, on the experiences from last year and her image, as depicted by the media: "I guess people just have their job to do and sell their papers or their TV shows, and they don't care about other people's feelings.
