ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Dolphins Owner WAYNE HUIZENGA
"has some patching up to do with fellow owners. Two weeks ago he
unwittingly sided with a minority that blocked a proposed change
in league voting procedures from three-fourths to a two-thirds
minimum count. This is a voting change that Huizenga still needs
to approve the cross-ownership issue that has many clubs
skeptical -- especially with baseball owners like George
Steinbrenner and Peter Angelos knocking on the Tampa Bay
Buccaneers door. And if the policy doesn't change by June 1996,
remember Huizenga must sell the Dolphins" ("SportsCenter,"
11/15). ....Last night on WJR-Radio in Detroit, MICHAEL MOORER
told host Frank Beckman that he will be retiring (WJR, 11/15)....
Prime Hoops announced yesterday that it has signed basketball
commentator AL MCGUIRE (Prime Hoops)....CNBC's Ted David reports
that USC's athletic director has reportedly discussed the
possibility of hiring KAREEM ABDUL-JABBAR for the '94-95 season.
Abdul-Jabbar told the SANTA MONICA OUTLOOK he would have
considered the job a few of months ago, but now he has business
commitments through February ("Market Wrap," 11/15)....Blue Jays
pitchers DAVE STEWART and TODD STOTTLEMYRE were cleared yesterday
on all charges stemming from a brawl last winter outside a Tampa
    nightclub (TAMPA TRIBUNE, 11/16).
