     The N.Y. TIMES' William Rhoden profiles Panthers co-owner
BILL SIMMS, the first African-American to have an ownership
interest in an NFL team since 1967 and the second African-
American to gain membership to the Augusta National Golf Club
(N.Y. TIMES, 11/13)....The following radio ad was run against
former Chiefs QB BILL KENNEY during his successful bid for a MO
state legislative seat:  "During Kenney's best season, only
11,000 Chiefs fans attended the Denver game.  Kenney's leadership
resulted in the longest losing streak in Chiefs history, a decade
without a playoff win, and two player strikes costing businesses
millions.  Now Bill Kenney wants to play games with your taxes
..." (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 11/13).
