CINCINNATI WEIGHS EARNINGS TAX ON VISITING TEAM

Cincinnati officials are considering imposing a earnings tax
on visiting sports teams at Riverfront. Hamilton County
Commissioner John Dowlin said that his proposal that the city
impose a 2.1% earning tax on the visiting teams could generate
$1M a year for stadium repairs. At least three cities --
Philadelphia, Detroit and Cleveland -- currently impose a
earnings tax on visiting sports teams (David Swint, CINCINNATI
ENQUIRER, 11/11).
