ST. LOUIS CLUB SEATS REMAIN POPULAR

The St. Louis Regional Commerce & Growth Association (RCGA)
used 100 volunteers over five days to contact club seat holders
from the city's '93 NFL expansion effort. Around 96% of those
contacted renewed their committment to club seats in the new
domed stadium, should the Rams move to St. Louis. 273 names
remain on the list, but once contacted, FANS point man Tom
Eagleton said "we'll certainly get 90 percent of the whole list."
FANS, the non-profit group trying to attract the Rams, hopes to
have at least 5,200 seats sold, at $700 to $2,200. RCGA callers
also encouraged club seat holders to write to Rams President John
Shaw, and "many did." RCGA President & CEO Dick Fleming: "There
is a real depth of support for an NFL franchise here." Fleming
led the Greater Denver Chamber of Commerce during that city's
successful MLB expansion bid (Jim Thomas, ST. LOUIS POST
DISPATCH, 10/21).
