MLB Rangers, Japanese Club Partner On Baseball, Business Ops

The MLB Rangers and Japanese club Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters today announced a multiyear partnership that will take effect this year, encompassing both baseball and business operations. The teams will exchange scouting reports and other baseball ops info. In addition, the Fighters will have a member of their baseball staff work with the Rangers as an instructor in '18, while Rangers personnel will travel to Japan. The Rangers also will advise the Fighters on their plans to build a new ballpark in Sapporo that is expected to include a mixed-use entertainment district (Rangers).
