Nike Sets Up Unique Purchase Parameters For Durant Signature Shoe

Nike is allowing fans to buy the shoe Warriors F Kevin Durant will wear in tonight's NBA Finals Game 1 against the Cavaliers, but "only when he's on the court." Consumers can buy the white version of the signature KDX "Still KD" shoe on Nike's SNKRS app "as soon as the game tips off" at 9:00pm ET at Oracle Arena. Sales "will be halted when Durant is subbed out of the game, when a timeout is called and during halftime." Sales also will stop "when the game ends or when the shoes sell out" (ESPN.com, 5/30). ESPN’s Amin Elhassan said, "This is the biggest hustle ever" ("SportsNation," ESPN, 5/31).

Meanwhile, golfer Jason Day is wearing a Cavaliers-themed shoe this week at the PGA Tour Memorial Tournament to honor his "adopted home state" of Ohio (INSTAGRAM, 5/31).
