Zebra Technologies Partners With Kinduct On Player Tracking Solution

Zebra Technologies has struck a long-term partnership with data and analytics software developer Kinduct to provide a combined player tracking solution to college and pro teams. The joint product will combine Zebra’s RFID tag-based system that tracks info such as player speed and proximity with Kinduct’s Athlete Management System. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the two companies will share revenue on jointly acquired clients. Zebra Technologies VP & GM of Location Solutions Jill Stelfox said the partnership "provides a much deeper and wider view into the athlete" by bringing in more information. Kinduct CEO & Founder Travis McDonough: “What we’ve done with Zebra is put together a seamless merging of our products that we believe will yield new insights.”

Zebra Technologies is the NFL’s official on-field player tracking provider, and this fall is entering its third season of work with that league. The company also works with about a third of NFL teams in practice settings, and has a growing profile among college programs.
