The NBA today announced the launched of NBA Basketball School, a network of tuition-based basketball development programs around the world (NBA).

Univ. of New Mexico AD Paul Krebs said that he is "negotiating a potential 'seven-figure' naming rights deal for a school athletic facility." Krebs has not "identified the donor – or the venue" (ALBUQUERQUE JOURNAL, 4/7).

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is "challenging the commissioners of the four major pro sports leagues to donate money to save" St. Anthony High School, a "national basketball powerhouse." The Jersey City-based school, which "bears the stamp" of HOF coach Bob Hurley, is slated to "close in June" (AP, 4/7).
