USF Set To Extend Lease Agreement At Raymond James Stadium

USF "appears set to enter into a new lease agreement" with Raymond James Stadium, as the prior lease expired after the '16 season. The deal for "six years with a five-year option" is part of today's agenda for the Tampa Sports Authority's exec committee. The term "includes a termination clause with a 24-month written notice." USF's costs for use of the lower bowl and two club lounges is estimated at $172,000 for "games with fewer than 24,000 participants, and $185,000 for games with more than 24,000" for the '17 season. Rates for future years "will be determined each July" (TAMPABAY.com, 1/23).
