SI Helps Produce New VR Film Based On TCS N.Y. Marathon

SI along with Time Inc.’s Life VR and multimedia outfit Cyberlink have collaborated on a new VR film based around yesterday’s TCS N.Y. Marathon. “26.2 in 360” was shot using 10-time marathon runner Alex Christison and a specially designed camera rig to capture marathon footage in the enhanced format. The video has been published on SI.com, SI.com’s social media channels and Time Inc.’s Life VR app. Life VR Managing Editor Mia Tramz said, "We’re able to not only take our viewers on a journey that many will never otherwise take, but we are particularly excited about the timeliness of offering this experience."
