Florida Names Scott Stricklin New AD With Six-Year Deal

The Univ. of Florida today formally introduced Scott Stricklin as its new AD, signing him to a "six-year deal" worth $1,076,800 annually. Stricklin "could make up to $1,276,800 per year with bonuses," and he receives a $150,000 signing bonus. Outgoing UF AD Jeremy Foley "will stay on until Nov. 1 to assist with the transition." Stricklin "has overseen fundraising since taking over" as Mississippi State Univ. AD in '10. He "became Florida's top target after" North Carolina AD Bubba Cunningham "pulled out of the running" (GAINESVILLE.com, 9/27).

Meanwhile, Mississippi State is now conducting a nationwide search for its 17th AD. MSU President Mark Keenum said that he intends to follow the same procedure employed during the school's AD search six years ago. He also indicated he would seek input from MSU stakeholders (Mississippi State).
