Cubs Fire Wrigley Field DJ For Playing Inappropriate Song

The Cubs have fired the Wrigley Field DJ who "played an inappropriate song" following P Aroldis Chapman's appearance during last night's game. The song "Smack My Bitch Up" by U.K. band Prodigy came on the ballpark's PA system after Chapman, previously suspended for a domestic violence incident, left the mound in the ninth inning. Cubs President of Business Operations Crane Kenney said, "The selection of this track showed a lack of judgment and sensitivity to an important issue." The team "declined to release the name of the DJ, one of two who work the sound system" (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 8/15).
