A source indicated that Disney "agreed to acquire a one-third stake" in BAM Tech in a deal valued at about $3.5B. Disney "will retain a four-year option to buy" an additional 33% stake in the video-streaming unit of MLBAM (BLOOMBERG NEWS, 6/30).

DeWalt next year will become the primary sponsor for Matt Kenseth's No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota for 15 NASCAR Sprint Cup races and an associate sponsor for the remaining races. DeWalt is also picking up four more Cup races with Kenseth this year (JGR).

New Balance today formally announced that it has signed U.S. runner Boris Berian as an endorser (New Balance). This comes "less than a week after rival Nike Inc. dropped its lawsuit" against Berian (WSJ.com, 6/30).
