MLB Players Frustrated Gordon Was Allowed To Play During PED Appeal

There is "mounting frustration" around MLB that Marlins 2B Dee Gordon was allowed to continue playing while appealing an 80-game suspension after testing positive for PEDs. Gordon's suspension was announced early Friday morning. The Marlins are "on the hook" for a five-year, $50M deal that Gordon signed in January, and "that's not going to change" unless the MLBPA opens up the current CBA and "gives teams the option to void multiyear contracts" for suspended players. Many players are "ready to change" the CBA and "throw the book" at violators ("SportsCenter," ESPN, 4/29).
