Tara Greco Resigns After Six Months As NBPA Dir of Communications

NBPA Dir of Communications Tara Greco has resigned after a little more than six months on the job, NBPA Exec Dir Michele Roberts today confirmed. Roberts declined to comment further, saying she does not comment on personnel matters. Greco did not return phone calls or emails, though an inquiry sent to Greco's NBPA email bounced back with the message, "Thank you for your email. Please know that Tara decided to resign. She is going back to Washington, D.C." The message asked that inquiries be directed to Dan Wasserman, the former NBPA Dir of Communications who has continued to do PR work for the union through his own consulting firm.

Greco is the latest NBPA exec to leave the union. As reported in this week's SportsBusiness Journal, the NBPA recently replaced two key execs Roberts had hired since she was elected to lead the union in the summer of '14.
