Warriors Have Acquired 12-Acre Mission Bay Site Pegged For Arena

The Warriors today formally announced that they have acquired from Salesforce the 12-acre site in S.F.'s Mission Bay area pegged for their new arena. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. An environmental review is expected to be completed this fall, with the team planning to open the venue for the '18-19 NBA season. Plans call for an 18,000-seat arena and mixed-use development (Warriors).
