Microsoft's Bing Search Engine Sponsoring NASCAR's Chase Grid Battle

NASCAR today continued rolling out its marketing campaign around the upcoming Chase for the Sprint Cup, announcing that Microsoft’s Bing search engine will sponsor this year’s Chase Grid Battle. The game, which allows fans to predict Chase race results on a weekly basis, is in its second year, but this is the first year Bing is taking part (Toyota was last year's sponsor). Microsoft, an official NASCAR partner, is integrating the search engine into the game by allowing players to use the Bing Predicts algorithm to make selections. Prizes include a VIP package for a Sprint Cup Series race next year, a NASCAR driving experience and an autographed driver’s helmet. Microsoft earlier this year activated its Azure and Windows 10 brands, including title sponsorship of August's Windows 10 400 at Pocono Raceway.

Today’s announcement comes after the sanctioning body yesterday unveiled its first '15 Chase spot, which will fall under the Battle of Nations campaign. More content from the campaign including other ads will be rolled out over the coming days and weeks.
