Minneapolis Announces Plans To Bid For '20 CFP Title Game

Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton today formally announced Minneapolis' bid for the '20 CFP championship game. Scot Housh, co-Chair of the campaign to land the game, said that the bid will require an $8-12M fundraising effort. The "bidding cycle is for the three championship games in the Januarys of 2018-2020, but Minneapolis is only targeting the final year." Bids are due May 27, with the winners to be announced this fall (STARTRIBUNE.com, 5/5).
