Sponsors Announced For Inaugural Univision Sports Awards

Univision Deportes announced its official sponsors for its inaugural Univision Sports Awards. The two-hour show will take place Dec. 18 at 9:00pm ET and will be shown on UniMás. Pepsi will be the co-presenting sponsor of the awards, and will also sponsor a musical "halftime" performance. Allstate will activate a campaign around its own award category that's being coined "The Best Bad Luck Moment," which will be awarded to the worst bad luck moment from this year's World Cup tournament as voted by fans. Examples include Brazil D Marcelo's own-goal and Ivory Coast conceding a penalty in the final minutes.

Jack Daniel's will be the official spirits sponsor of the awards, and will present a sports highlight video. MetroPCS will present a segment on Hispanic America's favorite athletes, and what they would have done with their lives if they did not pursue sports. Miller Lite will present the Breakthrough Athlete of the Year award and Snickers Brand will present the Liga MX Champion's Award.
