AEG's Role In L.A. Stadium Could Run Counter To Public Interest

AEG "has been given a key role in helping the city figure out what to do" should the Farmers Field NFL stadium plan "fall apart." That involvement is "triggering questions about whether the company's private interests could run afoul of the city's public interests." AEG officials "don't think a hotel should be built" next to L.A. Convention Center. The company has its own hotel at L.A. Live. If city officials "decide not to follow AEG's advice, a competing hotel could go up" (LATIMES.com, 11/3).
