AFL Talons Stop Looking For New Owner, Will Not Play Next Season

The AFL San Antonio Talons' "search for new ownership has ended" and the team "will not play next season." Former Talons Exec VP & COO Keith Recine said, "I received an e-mail notifying me that I was terminated and that the team would not be playing this (next) season." The Talons moved from Tulsa to San Antonio after the '11 AFL season under an ownership group led by Jason Lohe. Real estate mogul David Lynd in '12 took over the organization, but the league seized control of the Talons late last year after Lynd "ran into financial trouble" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 10/13).
