The Cubs on Friday launched a new local TV ad from agency Schafer Condon Carter, Chicago, as part of their campaign around the 100th anniversary of Wrigley Field. The 60-second ad "takes viewers through a quick overview of life at Wrigley Field and significant moments in Cubs history" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 3/7).

The Pawtucket City Council has approved an agreement under which the Triple-A Int'l League Pawtucket Red Sox "would remain at McCoy Stadium until 2021, and potentially beyond." The council voted to extended the team's lease with the state for five years, "with an option for another five-year extension" (AP, 3/7).

Fitness equipment brand ReXist360 named U.S. skier Bode Miller a brand ambassador and equity stakeholder. Miller and his wife, pro beach volleyball player Morgan Beck Miller, will appear in national media campaigns (ReXist360).

Octagon At SXSW on Friday introduced The Passion Shift study, a proprietary brand research platform designed to help marketers reach consumers by mapping fan behavior across 13 different sports (Octagon).
