VCU Athletics Goes For "Coherent Brand" With New Logos, Wordmarks

VCU Athletics today unveiled a series of new brand marks, which include primary and secondary logos as well as a new font style and wordmarks. The school last year assembled an internal committee to spearhead the effort for a new visual identity. Ohio-based Rickabaugh Graphics won the contract to create the marks from a pool of 30 bids. The full rebranding rollout, which will take more than a year to complete, will include a new court design at Verizon Wireless Arena. VCU AD Ed McLaughlin in a video announcing the changes said the university in the past lacked a "coherent brand" (VCU).
