Sports On Earth Debuts Monthly Series Of Short Online Films

Sports On Earth, the joint product of USA Today Sports Media Group and MLBAM, today debuted "Mr. Irrelevant," the first of a planned monthly series of short online documentaries. The film, produced by Seattle-based filmmakers Adam Brown and Jason Reid, chronicles players chosen last in the NFL Draft. One such "Mr. Irrelevant," Bill Kenney, ultimately played 12 seasons in the NFL, made the '84 Pro Bowl with the Chiefs, and appeared at a private screening of the documentary Friday in N.Y. A second feature on the Jamaican bobsled team will debut Feb. 14. “This is a very significant day for the enterprise to move into the original film space like this. We couldn’t be more excited,” said Sports On Earth GM Steve Madden.

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft
