WNBA Awards '14 All-Star Game To Mercury's US Airways Center

The '14 Boost Mobile WNBA All-Star Game will be held at US Airways Center in Phoenix on July 19, the league announced today. This marks the second consecutive year Boost Mobile will serve as the game's title sponsor. It is also the second time the All-Star Game will be played in Phoenix, which hosted in '00 (WNBA). Suns and Mercury President Jason Rowley said that the "organization 'didn't think twice' about bidding for the All-Star Game," particularly given a 10% boost in attendance after drafting C Brittney Griner (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 1/22).
