NFL Network, ESPN, FS1 Vie For Football Viewership Tonight

The NFL’s Thursday night schedule will get its stiffest college football competition in memory as both FS1 and ESPN have marquee college games airing against it. FS1 airs Oklahoma-Baylor at 7:30pm ET, ESPN airs Oregon-Stanford at 9:00pm and NFL Network airs Redskins-Vikings at 8:25pm. FS1 has had eight Thursday night college football games to date this season, averaging 274,000 viewers. The net’s UCLA-Utah matchup on Oct. 3 has been the top Thursday draw to date with 596,000 viewers. Meanwhile, ESPN has averaged 2.03 million viewers for its 11 Thursday night games. The slate of games has been led by the season-opening North Carolina-South Carolina game with 3.65 million viewers. Only two of ESPN’s Thursday games have started after 9:00pm.

NFL Network will likely be the top draw tonight, as its eight “Thursday Night Football” games gave averaged 7.2 million viewers. The net’s lowest draw this season to date was the Oct. 24 Panthers-Buccaneers game, which still drew 4.6 million viewers.
