NLL Reaches New CBA With Players' Union Through '20 Season

The NLL today announced that it has reached a new CBA with the Professional Lacrosse Players' Association through the '20 season. The agreement includes modifications designed to increase free agency, such as lowering the qualifying age for unrestricted free agents from 32 to 30 and reducing of franchise tags per team from two to one. Other highlights include increase of the regular season from 16 to 18 games and an expanded playoff format. Most players' minimum and maximum base salary remain unchanged for the first two years of the CBA (NLL).
