Chip Ganassi Racing today formally announced the signing of IndyCar driver Tony Kanaan and "announced a switch to Chevrolet." The manufacturer change to Chevrolet from Honda "was not a surprise," as team Owner Chip Ganassi runs Chevrolets in NASCAR and "was very critical" of Honda at the start of the season (AP, 10/4).

Entercom today announced that Joe Castiglione has agreed to a two-year contract extension to remain the radio voice of the Red Sox on WEEI-FM through '15 (Entercom).

Sabres Owner Terry Pegula Friday will "drop the ceremonial first puck" before the Army-Penn State men's hockey game, ushering in Penn State's first season in the Big Ten Hockey Conference. Pegula in '10 gave $102M to Penn State to help build the arena and launch the hockey program (AP, 10/4).

The Rockets and adidas Friday announced a retail partnership that includes an exclusive team store – Rockets Shop by adidas – at Toyota Center. The deal includes in-arena signage and digital and traditional media at Toyota Center events (Rockets/adidas).
