CBS' Nick Faldo Discusses Endorsements In Post-Golfing Career
CBS' Nick Faldo appeared on CNBC's "Squawk Box" this morning to discuss his various business ventures, including being a "brand ambassador" for Glenmorangie scotch whiskey. Faldo: "I'm a connoisseur as well." Faldo said of his deals, "I like to team up with people I enjoy doing business with, the guys that are fun to be around as well. It's not the era of being a golfer when you were sure to sign everything (in terms of endorsements) and then you went off and played golf. Now it's different. You have a different relationship with brands now. You want to be more involved with them and help them" ("Squawk Box," CNBC, 6/20).
