Atlanta Radio Station Suspends Personnel For Mocking Gleason

Atlanta-based WQXI-AM today suspended several members of its "Mayhem in the A.M." show after a segment that ran this morning mocked former NFLer Steve Gleason for having ALS. WQXI in a statement said members of the show involved in the incident "have been suspended indefinitely pending further management review of their actions" (WQXI). The show "apparently thought it would be funny to engage in a mock interview in which they poked fun at Gleason and used a robotic voice to portray things Gleason might say" (PROFOOTBALLTALK.com, 6/17).
