Rogers Media today received final regulatory approval from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission to acquire Score Media (Rogers).

The Maryland Jockey Club today announced enhanced security measures for the 138th Preakness Stakes weekend. Fans attending the May 17-18 events will be subject to electronic wand searches "at all gates." Items including backpacks, duffel bags, laser lights and detachable-lense cameras will be banned (BALTIMORESUN.com, 4/30). 

The Bills today announced that they have renewed their partnership with PrimeSport as the official fan travel partner of the team. As part of the deal, PrimeSport will offer official fan packages for all the team's '13 home and away games (Bills).

Hurricanes Owner Peter Karmanos has hired investment bank Park Lane to sell the ECHL Florida Everblades and their home venue, Germain Arena (THE DAILY).
