Zurich Extends Title Sponsorship Deal With PGA Tour Event

Zurich Insurance Group, title sponsor of this week's PGA Tour Zurich Classic of New Orleans, has extended its deal through '19. Zurich's relationship with the Tour, established in '05, was set to expire next year. An announcement is being made this afternoon by Martin Senn, CEO of the Switzerland-based insurance giant that employs 60,000 people worldwide. He is expected to be joined by golfers Justin Rose and Ben Crane, a pair of Zurich ambassadors, as well as PGA Tour CMO Jay Monahan. Title sponsorships for tour events that are televised by NBC or CBS – CBS has this one – typically go for $6-8M a year.
