White Sox Announce TV, Radio Broadcast Schedule For '13 Season

The White Sox today announced the club's '13 broadcast schedule, which encompasses five TV outlets and two radio partners. Comcast SportsNet Chicago will televise 99 regular-season games, beginning April 1 on Opening Day. WGN again will air 30 games, starting with the April 3 contest. WICU-Ind. starts its 25-game schedule April 5. Fox will air seven White Sox games nationally in its Saturday "Game of the Week" package. ESPN has tabbed a May 12 contest for "Sunday Night Baseball." The announcing duo of Ken Harrelson and Steve Stone will call a total of 154 regular-season games (White Sox).

Meanwhile, the team is projecting 1,946,000 in paid attendance for the '13 season, "an increase of more than 100,000 from last year's paid attendance of 1,836,916." That figure is less than the '12 total attendance of 1,965,866, "the first time since 2004 that the total dipped below 2 million." Because paid attendance last season was less than 1,925,000, the Sox "were not required" to pay the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority additional ticket fees beyond a base rent of $1,537,000 (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 2/19).
