Sources: NBA Player Reps Never Approved Hunter's Contract

NBPA Exec Dir Billy Hunter and late General Counsel Gary Hall reportedly "failed to get proper player representative approval" for a five-year, $15M contract extension for Hunter in '10. The possible violation of the union's constitution "raises questions about the legitimacy of Hunter's contract and his future" as Exec Dir. Hunter signed the contract at an NBPA Exec Committee meeting in June '10, but he and Hall "never brought the deal to a vote" of the 30 player reps (SPORTS.YAHOO.com, 1/17).
