Turner Sports Unveils Mobile Gaming App For MLB Postseason

Turner Sports this afternoon unveiled "TBS Social Dugout," a new mobile gaming application designed to tie into the network's upcoming coverage of the MLB postseason. The app, available for iOS and Android platforms, will most notably feature a predictive social game in which users project upcoming plays. The product will also feature trivia contests, social media integration (including check-ins and dedicated chat areas) and fan rewards.

"TBS Social Dugout" is only for smartphone and tablet platforms, and designed as a separate product from Postseason.TV, Turner's joint effort with MLBAM offering live alternate camera views of playoff games. "This fits squarely in line with our strategy to have complementary experiences across multiple screens and help drive engagement both digitally and on TV," said Turner Sports Senior VP & GM of Operations Matt Hong.
