NHL CBA Talks To Resume For First Time Since Lockout Began

The NHL and NHLPA "plan to resume bargaining Friday for the first time since the league's lockout started, but the talks are to focus on non-core economic issues." NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly and union Special Counsel Steve Fehr met today in Toronto to schedule the session, the site for which has not been set. These will be the "first formal negotiations since Sept. 12, when the players and owners exchanged proposals" (AP, 9/25).
