ESPN Today Launching TV Campaign For Insider Subscription Service

ESPN today is launching "the first TV campaign in more than a decade for one of its oldest digital products," ESPN Insider. The campaign consists of three spots, which were created by 77 Ventures, N.Y., for Insider, "in the hopes of broadening its appeal." ESPN Senior Marketing Dir Adrianna Rizzo said the service, which currently has 670,000 subscribers, "has been successful for a long time, but it isn't a product that has great awareness" (ADAGE.com, 9/12).

Meanwhile, Google today announced that it has struck a deal for Disney's networks, including ESPN, to be offered on Google Fiber, "the upcoming service to deliver TV using internet infrastructure." Google Fiber recently reached a deal with NFL Network (ADAGE.com, 9/12).
