Total College Sports Partners With Hulu For New Original Program

Total College Sports, the year-old online college network powered by the Perform Group and Silver Chalice New Media, has signed a distribution deal with Hulu to create a new original program, "TCS 5th Quarter." The series debuted last Saturday and will run weekly in primetime on Saturday nights until mid-January. The 22-minute show features highlights of the day's action in college football. "Hulu's making a big push into original content, and so are we. And this is part of our play to go after TV ad dollars and pull them into online with premium-level content," said Perform Americas Managing Dir Juan Delgado. A similar effort is under development for college basketball as well.

"TCS 5th Quarter" will feature existing Total College Sports talent including Melanie Collins, Tim Doyle and Sean Salisbury, and air on both the ad-supported Hulu and subscription-based Hulu Plus.
