Sources: Buick/GMC Inks Sponsorship Deals With Broncos, Panthers

By Michael Smith

When Peyton Manning and the Broncos hit the field tomorrow for the first workout of training camp, a Buick logo will adorn the upper left shoulder of their practice jerseys. Buick/GMC has finalized deals with the Broncos and the NFL Panthers, industry sources say, on the eve of the NFL’s training camp. Both deals give Buick/GMC an array of rights, including advertising and stadium signage, though the Panthers deal does not include practice jersey presence. While the Chevrolet brand has a handful of NFL team deals, the Broncos and Panthers agreements mark the first team deals for Buick/GMC, which will own the official car, truck and SUV categories. The arrangement with the Broncos complements Buick’s endorsement deal with Manning, who debuted in a Buick Verona ad earlier this month.
