Erin Andrews Says Covering NFL Was Big Reason For Move To Fox

Erin Andrews appeared on “The Dan Patrick Show” today to discuss her leaving ESPN and joining Fox Sports. Host Dan Patrick asked, "What was the reason why you said, ‘Okay, now I’m going to leave ESPN?’" Andrews said there "wasn’t just a moment, there was an entire month that I was sitting there doing the pros and cons list" and it "was awful." Andrews said the “biggest reason” she joined Fox is the "chance to work" in the NFL, the MLB playoffs and "all these events that I wouldn’t be able to do if I stayed at ESPN."

Andrews noted she will appear on a college football studio show, during the MLB All-Star Game and playoff coverage and "working the NFL sidelines and maybe some other games." Andrews: “I had to be very honest with Fox and tell them I’m still the girl that likes to be out at the games and I’m proud of that. They’re going to try to appease me in both ways, and I’m really thankful for that" (“The Dan Patrick Show,” 7/3).
