Lexington Authorities Satisfied With Title Game Crowd-Control Plan

Police and fire officials in Lexington, Ky., said that they are "satisfied with their work to control crowds that spilled into the streets" after Kentucky defeated Louisville Saturday night in the NCAA men's basketball tournament national semifinal. So authorities "aren't anticipating big changes in their plans as they prepare for the possibility of more celebrations" after tonight's Kentucky-Kansas national championship game (Louisville COURIER-JOURNAL, 4/2).

Louisville-based All Pro Championships has a contract with the NCAA to produce Kentucky national championship T-shirts if the team wins the title tonight. All Pro President Ben Erps acquired the license to sell the shirts for either a UK or Louisville championship. The company's plan "is to work through the night and deliver the shirts to local retailers" from 6:00am-noon ET tomorrow (BUSINESS LEXINGTON, 3/30 issue).
