FSN Expected To File Appeal Against Dodgers TV Rights Sale Plans

FSN as soon as today in U.S. District Court is expected to file its formal appeal to last week's bankruptcy court decision favoring an accelerated auction of the Dodgers' cable TV rights. Judge Kevin Gross of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware earlier today issued his written order approving the Dodgers' proposed right auction, codifying a Dec. 8 decision made from the bench. In his order, Gross eliminated any temporary stay and ruled Fox' exclusive negotiating window to sign a new Dodgers rights deal began on Nov. 30, and will continue until Jan. 19. Dodgers Owner Frank McCourt, in the process of selling the club, wanted the accelerated auction as a means to help boost the sales price.
