EA Sports Partners With Paradies Shops For Branded Stores In Airports

EA Sports has partnered with retail development outfit The Paradies Shops to create several branded retail locations at U.S. airports. The first EA Sports store, to be located at Charlotte Douglas Int’l, is slated to open this fall, soon to be followed by ones at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City and Salt Lake City Int’l Airport. The Charlotte location will be 1,200 square feet. The shops will include EA Sports games, gaming kiosks to try out various titles, EA Sports branded apparel and gear, and merchandise from local pro and collegiate teams.

"This is really more of a branding experience," said EA Sports VP/Communications David Tinson. "The expectation is not that this will be a big revenue driver around selling games. But it's more about experimenting with different ways in reaching consumers and exposing our brand to new audiences."
