IOC Rules In Favor Of LOCOG In Dispute With British Olympic Association

The IOC Friday ruled in favor of LOCOG "in a cash row with the British Olympic Association (BOA) that is still headed for court." The IOC's decision, described as "final and binding," that any profit from the '12 London Games "should include the cost of the Paralympics narrows the options of the BOA to the Court of Arbitration in Sport." The BOA does not consider the matter settled and has retained "one of the UK's top barristers" to represent it in court. The BOA reportedly has "been told that its legal case is strong" (THETIMES.co.uk, 3/18).
