CBS Sublicenses BYU-SDSU Game From CBS Sports Network

CBS will nationally telecast Saturday's BYU-San Diego State men's basketball game at 2:00pm ET. CBS sublicensed the game from CBS Sports Network, which splits Mountain West Conference rights with Versus. CBS Sports Exec VP/Programming Mike Aresco said that he was "interested in showing BYU star Jimmer Fredette and last spring asked if CBS could get BYU in a late-season game 'against a good opponent'" (USA TODAY, 2/25).

Aresco said of Fredette, "We at the network were determined that if we could find a broadcast window, we were going to get him on." Announcers Verne Lundquist, Clark Kellogg and Steve Kerr will be in the booth (NORTH COUNTY TIMES, 2/25).
