NHL Partners With Rock And Wrap It Up! To Donate Unsold Concessions

The NHL has partnered with the food distribution group Rock and Wrap It Up! for the '10-11 season to donate all prepared but unsold concession food on game nights to local shelters and places of need. All 30 clubs will work with the group. “Our players and clubs are dedicated to serving their local communities and it is our league-wide pledge to be responsible stewards of our planet,” NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said in a release. Rock and Wrap It Up! has donated more than 170,000 meals since '07, and has previously worked with the NHL Rangers, Yankees and Eagles, among other teams.
