DAILY NEWS).

TheN.Y. TIMES’ Stuart Elliott in an examination of CBS’ Super Bowl ad sales, writes, “The disappointing results so far for most new series introduced by thebroadcast networks at the start of the primetime season, along with a fall-offin male viewers in the prized 18-to-34-year-old range, underline why manyadvertisers are clamoringto sponsor coverage of big events. Among those top shows: the Super Bowl, the World Series, the Grammys, the [NCAA] playoffs and the Academy Awards” (N.Y.
